Who’s there?

Orange who?

Orange you going to use for all your future penny auction needs?

Despite its ridiculously awesome name (at least as far as knock-knock jokes are concerned) is actually one of the smaller sites out there. The idea is that they offer a smaller, gentler community than sites like Quibids or DealDash. As a result, is a very basic penny auction site, but it does function and serve as a site like Quibids. If you’re new to penny auctions and you’re really just looking to get your feet wet on a site with less traffic and less competition, then should be one of your first stops. It’s a great training ground before you advance to some of the more cut throat sites. Of course, if you’ve used, we invite you to leave a review at the bottom of this page. Review

Here’s the real gravy of It is a decent penny auction site that offers a small community and you’re not going to get your head ripped off in a super competitive atmosphere. If you’re on a budget and really want to do some exploring, might be your best bet. They offer some free auctions when you sign up (which is nice), and they also offer free auctions for both bids and goods. As a result, the acquisition of new bids is really pretty easy.

Their inventory and auctions offer high quality items. We also have noticed that they regularly save their customers up to 95% off of the retail price of those items.

Here’s something interesting: If you don’t win the bid, but decide to buy the item at its full retail price, will give you your money back.

Now, each action has an equal and opposite reaction. For, that means that because of the lower competition levels, there are somewhat higher bid prices. Bids can cost from $0.75 each, but you can find them for as low as $0.14 each if you get them in auctions during special events.

All in all, is a good place to start your penny auction career. Shipping and Fees

Another great thing about is that shipping is free on almost everything. If you buy the item at full price after you lose an auction, you’ll get free shipping. There are many other circumstances for free shipping, so if you find yourself being charged, make sure you look at it more closely.

Am I going to get scammed and start crying?

As far as we can tell, no. Like we said, because of lower competition, you may be paying more per bid, but don’t take that as a reason to feel cheated at all. It’s just a lower volume site, but that means you have a better chance at getting some great stuff for cheap.

Orangebidz: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (if there is any ugly)

The Good: If you’re looking for a pro beyond the free shipping, there are definitely some that you’ll like. There’s a wide range of products and auctions, it’s great for beginners and many special events that you can find in a less competitive environment.

The Bad: Now, again, because of the smaller community, there are a few “power bidders”, or “whales” as we like to call them who can make things a little bit crazy, especially if you’re just starting out. You really need to know what you’re doing to take them on. Also, bids can tend to be a bit higher on because of the small community. It’s a trade-off to be sure, but for many it could be worth it.
