Is there any word that is more loved than “free” in the English language? We don’t think so and certainly there isn’t for penny auction bidders!
So we’re here to tackle the questions: What are the best penny auction sites for free bids? Or, in other words, what are the sites that are most gracious with their distribution of free bids?
Listen, the term “Free” should be taken very lightly. While you do get free bids on some sites, that isn’t to say that they don’t come with a price. Penny auction bidding is very competitive. It’s competitive not only for you as a bidder, but for the sites themselves to get users to use their sites! As a result, penny auction sites often offer incentives for you to come to their sites. Free bids is a great way to draw users to the sites . . . but know that it is not a great strategy to base your entire experience off of free bids. Just as Vegas casinos offer “perks” to keep the whales inside and losing money, penny auction sites offer free bids to keep you on their site spending money.
Definitely take advantage of free bids, but again, don’t base your whole life on them.
We’ve gone ahead and done the heavy lifting for you and listed the best sites for free bids below. Please keep in mind though, that free bids mean nothing without a strategy.
Zbiddy Free Bids
Of the sites that we are aware, Zbiddy gives away the mostfree bids by far. Unlike, some other sites like Quibids, Zbiddy offers these to people if you’re a paying member or not (you will need to create an account though).
Basically, Zbiddy has a feature called the Zwheel. Once a day, users can log-on and spin the wheel. You will get anywhere from 1-10 free bids.
Please, please, please keep in mind that while this is fun and a great way to spend some time, we don’t feel that 1-10 free bids is nearly enough to do anything serious in an auction. It’s fun and it is a nice compliment to your other bids, but on its own it isn’t going to win you a TV (or a gift card for that matter). Use them in conjunction with a greater bidding strategy.

HappyBidDay Free Bids
HappyBidDay has two types of auctions, Happy Auctions and Penny Auctions. The Happy Auctions are their free-to-participate auctions which offer small-ticket items and bid packages at a discount. To play, you use Happy Bids which are earned by signing-up, logging in daily, on your birthday, for inviting friends, etc. HappyBidDay gives a lot of these free bids away, although the auctions which they can be used on aren’t great.
As far as free penny bids goes, HappyBidDay offers these as well. We’ve been on their email list for over a year and find that, about every 1-2 months, they deposit 20 or more free bids for penny auctions into our account. They also give away penny auction bids when you win other penny auctions. That’s right, most penny auctions come with free bids attached which is a great value-add to winning an auction. Sign-up and try HappyBidDay.
Quibids Free Bids
Quibids also offers free bids, but only if you’re a paying member. That’s right, once you purchase a bid package, you’re eligible to earn badges (which include free bids) for things like playing in auctions, winning auctions, losing auctions, not playing auctions and any other excuses they can use to email you and invite you back to play more. At first, we didn’t really like the badge system but it seems like they more you play, the more free bids you get. While Quibids isn’t the most giving penny auctions (as far as free stuff goes), it’s still a pretty good program. Try Quibids.
